Snow hit the country over the weekend and many competitors were unable to get to the start.

It was a tough trial. Craig dropped 19 marks in his Class 4 Beetle, one less than Ben Gladwyn in Nicola’s similar car. Geoff Walker was best motorcycle loosing only one mark all day.
Peter Browne captures Dan Keat working hard on Simms. Unfortunately to no avail, but Dan still came third in a closely contested Class 8
This years Torbay lived up to its reputation as a tough, but well thought out trial, giving all the classes a shot at the overall win. With Simms, Tipley and Wooston Steep on the agenda it was familiar territory for many but Dave Haizelden and Keith Sanders worked hard to provide some new sections as well.
Bill Bennett came close to an overall win in his familiar MG J2 but dropped 5 on Annies when the two Beetles went clear putting Bill 3rd overall on 22.
The organisers laid on a tough challenge for Class 8 and they didn’t come into overall contention. Dean Partington was best with 30 marks lost. Fellow DP Wasp driver Mike Chatwin retired with mechanical issues as did Dudley Sterry who stripped the teeth from 2nd gear on Coombehead.
