North Devon Motor Club had good weather for the Exmoor Trial starting near Barnstable. It proved a tough trial for the lower car classes and only Class Eight came out with scores under twenty.

High Bray took its toll and outside Class Eight. Only Dave Haizelden and Simon Willey were sucessful both in a Reliant Scimitar SS. Dave in his familiar machine and Simon in the ex Aaron Haizelden car.

Karen Warren won a well supported Class Six in her Beetle and Simon Oates pipped Ray Ferguson and John Early in a three way Suzuki engined Leige battle. Finishing second place overall, Tom Walker has to run in Class Eight in his Toyota engined Leige as this Motor is not on the Class 7 list.
