The car classes were dominated by a Class Eight battle between Paul Merson in his familiar special, Duncan Stephens in his red top powered Sandrail and Aaron Haizelden, who has sold his familiar Scimitar SS, and moved to the specials class in what used to be known as the Deere Special, hence the colour.
It was Aaron who won the class and the Chairmans Trophy with a clean sheet. Duncan and Paul both failed one hill, each dropping five on Cutliffe Lane and Putshole 1 respectively.

It was nice to see a good Escort entry in Class three, Arnie Martin taking the class win here on his way to fifth overall.
There were no entries in Class Four but Class Six for larger engined Rear Engined cars was well supported and Gary Browning was best, dropping nine marks, the same as Arnie Martin but having to give best to the Escort on test times.

Matt Tilley was best Solo and Tom Powell won the battle of the outfits with Simon Groves in the chair 1.
