Camel Vale use the Index system to determine the winner of their Presidents Trial, a single venue event held in Bonyalva Woods near Hessenford in Cornwall. Historically the club has run the Bodmin Trial at this time but couldn’t overcome the problems in running that event in Cardinham Woods.
There was a strong class eight field but they suffered a number of retirements, including Jack Selwood who lost first gear on the former RDT special recently reworked by Dean Partington.
The remaining specials were very close all day and it was former winner Simon Groves who took the class with 63 marks in his Troll by one mark from Ross Hancock with Dan Keat, another Presidents winner just behind.
Andrew Rippon was the only other car loosing less than a century in his Class 6 Beetle, dropping 69 and winning the Presidents cup on Index.
