The Kyrle returned for the first time since 2019 after issues with access to forestry sections on top of the Covid epidemic.
The event attracted a big Class Eight entry with 16 of the 44 starters coming from the specials class.
Charlie Merson was to come out on top, cementing his win by cleaning the fearsome Jack. David Foreshew in the Dingo was the only other car to reach the summit here but some earlier fails dropped him back down the leader board.
Dean Partington (DP Falcon), Joshua Moss (Cannon) and Paul Merson (Shopland) all dropped marks on Jack, finishing three marks behind Charlie on 14 and it was Dean who took the Class Eight award on special test times.
Somewhat inevitably class eight dominated the results on the Kyrles fabled steep hills, filling the first nine places. Local Adrian Marfell returned to the hills from Cross Country events to fill the tenth place in his Class Six Beetle.
